two: In conversation with me some time ago, the dead elfy bloke wanted everyone tested for previous crimes using simplictic questions and truth-determining powers ~ A combination that would advertise his previous infractions in the worst possible light. I see several possible reasons for this
To clear his name ~(The marshal is lieing, as well as a cock)
To be kicked out of the militry; It would certainly be impossible to continue his carier once all his collegues 'knew' how ever erroniously that he was a Bad Man.
Certain to lose the argument, he took the ultra-loyalist stance to allay doubts of his charitor. He seemed hyper sensative at the time of our convesation, so these doubts may well not have ever existed.
