House of flying ninjas
Jun. 24th, 2006 12:17 pmelmyra made me watch house of flying daggers with her last week end, it was fantastic, but I'm not going to talk about that. I'm going to talk about the weird survival-horer martial arts film that I thought of when I first heard the title. I'm also going to talk about isomeric states.
I immagined that it was a literal house, with walls and ceilings and things, not a feural in-group, you see. So from there I decided that some people,(proberbly ninjas) had found this house,(which was in a Japanese style, but with the creaky and decrpit trappings of a scooby-doo haunted house) one dark and stormy etc. and had taken refuge (from the storm) in it. Then there were mysterious creakings and such like, and lots of mysterious flying daggers ( I didn't immagine them having wings, or curving gracefully through the air like they did in the film, I immagined then appearing suddenly out of the darkness and into someone's kidney.)
Obviously this was foolish, as ninjas (and japanese houses) are very teritorial mamals (and buildings) and are seldom found outside of Japan.
ALSO:
180mTa Is my new favorate isomeric state.
on earth it makes up about 1 in 9000 180Ta atomes, and is the only (possibly) stable nuclear isomer. It was made, like most heavey elements, in supernova explosions ere earth was made, and its just sort of hung around ever since, waiting for someone to realisethat its special. Anyhow, I think its very cute.
