I have coil
Jan. 8th, 2007 04:15 pmI have 2mm coil of what can't be more than .1mm wire. On the plus side my pliers cut it with little (no) effort, once you line it up with them. On the down side, the links suffer hideously from sticking to skin, my pliers have all worn round (I've bent >20000 links or so with them, I think) so they are only gripped if half the link is hidden and some of the pliers are, inexplicably, magnetized.
I have only 8 links in the piece so far, which is to say I've closed two. Its near-impossible and I want tweezers, damnit. I don't think I've lost any links yet.
Tomorrow I'm going to the big city for an advanced data analysis course. I plan on confusion from 1/2 hour into day 1 and to keep up while they recap the simple bits of monte carlo methods in day two, before becoming hopelessly confused again. On the plus side: curry night.
