Bah, I can't find the link to write sarcastic letters to the editor of physics world. Fail.

Sir,
In his sppeach about the Big Society David Cameron said that society should be ran at the nano level. As scientists, we should take a firm stand against this deliberately misleading abuse of the SI system. Given that the current British government supplies services for roughly 70 million people, a nanoBritain would care for 7% of a person, which is neither an efficient use of resources nor will it lead to useful descriptions of the needs to the community as a whole.
Clearly what Mr Cameron meant was society at the mirco level, or communities of 70 or so people but he was put off by the prosaic prefix.

Or rather, he is hoping that his pro-families initiatives will shortly lead to a thirteen-fold population explosion.
