I spent the last week with elmyra poking berlin. it was rather fun. The city itself is rather grand, and its still being rebuilt basicly by a series of architectural competitions, leading to a pleasing discoherance between the buildings, each of which is individually, well, indevidual. I like very mcuh, and of course elmyra is very good company when it comes to poking things. We also went and smited verious people and things in the nearby calm lands and at T-mobile.

The only real down point was when we went to visit the big temple of the cross-god. Its rather pretty fom outside, and has a happy building site next to it. Inside is very grand with twirlyness and you can go up on the roof and look out over the city, in some cases you can go up to the roof, spend a few minuts catching your breath and then look out over the city. There was a minor plague of accordian-players in progress and we could hear the occasional noises comeing you from the little people below.
Elmyra said there wasd a pretty princess dress on desplay down in the basement. They were keeping it in th vault they were storing the dead in, presumably against the day when they needed lots of corpses and had ran out. The dress was rather dull and brown but did have and absolutley huge train, which would have impeeded the progress of the two-year old inside not inconsiderably.
the dead were being kept in massive rectangular boxes. Effort had been made to coneall this fact through the use of twirly bits, but I can tell dull rectangular boxes when I see them, and these were certainly very dull. There is somthing very terrible aboout such a large collection of dead people in dull rectangular boxes; I would much rather be a breif splash of red then a hundered years of dull rectangulerness. I was rather releived to leave, but its still there.
