So I'm writing my disertation. Its about nuclear powerstation decomissioning, with a bit about radioactive waste disposal, and I read some papers, also a book.

Then I read this thing about public opinion in Europe (1) It was very depressing. 2/3s of those interviewed thought that nuclear power contributes to climate change. In 50 years time, Fusion is seen as likely to produce more of the EU's power than Fission (If we're lucky, the first Fusion power plant may be planned by then). The majority of Italians than that at least a moderate amount of their electricity comes from nuclear power, despite all of Italy's nuclear power plants being shut since the referendum after the Chernobyl accident. I know the nuclear industry sucks at comunication, but a national referendum is somthing you should notice happening, because you should vote in the damn thing if you're so worried.
