The terrifying torchwood LHC "special" (podcast) fills me with well, terror, oddly.

See? Terror, in mp3 form

Torchwood person, comparing a plan an a satellite image: "a small building not on the site plan, to the west of the main complex"
Google maps: the main complex is 2km long. It took her 2 seconds to notice the discrepancy
Paul: she's some sort of spot-the-difference savant. I bet that's on her CV.

Paul: oh no! CERN is a link to the land of the dead.
I wish it was only dead physicists
dead Richard Fenynman would kick arse. Observe: http://xkcd.com/397/

Dear gods
Reversing the polarity works that way.
It actually does
Antiprotons will bend oppositely in the magnetic field, so to send them down the same path, you'd have to reverse the polarity.
Its amazing

GENERAL NOTE:
Removing neutrons from matter may make it unstable. It will then beta-decay back to stability, converting neutrons into protons until it reaches a stable isotope. If you do this to people, they will become radioactive. If you do this in CERN, the radiation monitoring systems will notice you, and the radiation protection officials will find you, and they will not listen to arguments about talking to your dead wife.
