5-beat weave

with length of chain and unweighted string. Unfortunately, although the chain is long enough to make two poi, I can't cut it, and if I use it as both, the section between my hands gets tangled up with everything. Despite this, my capacity for self-injury grows apace. Win!
I'm thinking reverse 5-beat weave next, although I may have to downgrade my equipment, as reverse weaves are made of face-strike.

In other news, the last episode of planet earth had a Vampyroteuthis infernalis being bioluminessent and arm-wavingly adorable. Hooray for rave-cephlapods
