Vaguely related to a meme going arround, and to one of the guest of honour speaches at EasterCon, whihc went somthing like this:
"Conventions are magical places, because at them you will meet complete strangers who will say things that make you go `OMG I thought I was the only one that thought that!' and you will fell a sense of connection that is missing from the rest of you life"

So yeah, it was fun finding out that I, Adrian and xanthipe had all worked out diffraction patterns for people.

So the meme: what I've done which you haven't

1)Observed gamma-ray transitions in 112-Cs using the highly selective technique of recoil-decay tagging.
2)`Worked' at CERN
3)Mined for opals
4)Whilst delivering leaflets for an estate agents offering to sell you house for you, spent a day delivering to an army base, in which every house was owned by the MoD, thus defeating the army.
5)been to a WorldCon

ahaha! #2: I went on a school trip to CERN for a week, in which there was "work" to be done on learning stuff. By your tactical use of quote marks, I can say I have in fact done that too!

Ok probably not in the same way you have, but I did get to go play in the vaults and see the tubes of the colliders and such...
